Getting to Knockrobin Glamping, Wicklow

By Car:

For the easiest route, simply enter “Knockrobin Glamping” into Google Maps or your Sat Nav. Alternatively, follow these directions:

Take Exit 16 (southbound) off the M11.
At the roundabout, take the first exit towards Rathnew.
Look for the Tinakilly House Hotel entrance on the main road.
(If you pass a graveyard, you’ve gone too far.)
Drive up the scenic, tree-lined avenue.
Before reaching the hotel gates, turn left.
At the first bend, turn right into the entrance for Knockrobin Glamping.

By Public Transport:

Bus:

Take the Bus Éireann 133 (from Dublin city centre)
or the Wexford Bus 740A (from Dublin Airport).
Both stop in Rathnew village, right at the bottom of the Tinakilly Avenue.
From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Knockrobin Glamping.
Train:
Take a train from Dublin to Wicklow Town.
From Wicklow train station, it’s just a 5-minute taxi ride to the site.

Exploring the Area:

You can visit Glendalough via a local-link bus service (183) from Rathnew, running daily. Or Avondale - Beyond the Trees in Rathdrum.

Beyond The Trees Avondale

Glendalough Lake & Visitor Center

Glendalough is a remarkable place know as ‘the valley of the two lakes‘ for its spectacular scenery, rich history, archaeology and abundant wildlife. A Monastic village with a round tower and visitor Centre. Approx 30 min drive. Local direct bus service.
Brittas Bay Beach

Brittas has a 5km stretch of powdery sand and sand dunes, a ‘European Union (EU) Blue Flag’ beach that is life guarded throughout the bathing season. Approx 13km / 15 min drive.
Historic Black Castle & Travelahawk Beach

The historic Black Castle & Travelahawk beach are located in Wicklow Town, near the south pier, a great please to chill out or go for a dip. (5mins by car)
The Murrough Wicklow

Lovely walk by the sea with sea swimming available on the stone beach or nearby Wicklow Harbour. A 20 min walk from Knockrobin or 5 mins by car.
Maghermore Beach

Magheramore beach is a small, secluded beach located just 10 minutes drive outside Wicklow Town. The perfect place to bring the whole family. It is accessible through a pathway with parking available on the street.
Kilmacurragh National Botanic Gardens
